How we look after your information.

1. Who we are

AQ Builders & Developers (“AQ”, “we”, “us”) is a building firm registered in Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. Our office is at Office No. 7, 8 & 9, Sultan Abad JK3, Gilgit, Gilgit-Baltistan. We decide how your personal information is used, and we are responsible for it.

2. What this policy covers

This website (theaqbuilders.com), our client portal (portal.theaqbuilders.com), our WhatsApp Business messaging, and the paper and digital records we keep while building your house.

3. Information we collect

Information you give us: your name, father’s or husband’s name, CNIC, phone and WhatsApp numbers, email and address; your plot and house; the agreements and forms you sign; and your payments — amounts, dates, bank references, and the receipts or screenshots you send. We do not collect or store card numbers.

When you message us on WhatsApp: your WhatsApp number or WhatsApp user ID, your WhatsApp profile name, the content of your messages, and any photos, voice notes, documents or locations you send; and whether our messages to you were delivered and read.

Records of your house: site photos, progress reports, stage completions and the documents of your build.

When you use the client portal: your phone number, a PIN that we store only in a scrambled (hashed) form that cannot be read back, and sign-in times and devices, to keep your account secure.

When you visit this website: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies and without identifying you. The site stores one setting in your browser — light or dark display — and nothing you type. The website sets no advertising or tracking cookies.

4. How we use it

To build your house under our agreement with you; to record your payments and confirm them to you once our bank shows them; to send you progress photos, payment confirmations and payment reminders; to answer your questions; to keep the accounts, tax and legal records the law requires; and to protect our systems and prevent fraud.

We use your information only for these purposes. We never sell it, and we never use it for advertising.

5. Why we are allowed to use it

We use your information to carry out our agreement with you, to meet our legal obligations, and — for WhatsApp updates — with your consent. We send you updates on WhatsApp only if you agreed to them on your booking form, or in reply when you write to us. You can withdraw that consent at any time (see section 12).

6. WhatsApp and Meta

We message clients through the WhatsApp Business Platform, a service of Meta Platforms. Messages pass through Meta’s systems to be delivered, under WhatsApp’s Business Terms and Meta’s own privacy policy: whatsapp.com/legal/business-policy and whatsapp.com/legal/privacy-policy.

We do not share your information with Meta for advertising. Only our owner can read our WhatsApp conversations with clients, and a person approves every message before it is sent.

7. Who we share it with

Only the service providers that run our systems, and only what they need: Hetzner (our server, in Finland), Cloudflare (website delivery and security), Meta (WhatsApp messages) and our email providers. They handle your information on our behalf and not for their own purposes.

Our bank, to receive and confirm your payments; the society’s approval office, for your building plans; our accountants and legal advisers, under confidentiality; and public authorities where the law requires it.

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information.

8. Where it is kept

Our records are kept on AQ’s own server in the European Union (Finland) and in our encrypted backups. Meta and Cloudflare may process information in other countries, under their own safeguards.

9. How long we keep it

Client records — including WhatsApp messages about your house — are kept while we build your house and afterwards for as long as they are needed for warranties, to settle any dispute, and for the accounting and tax records the law requires us to keep.

If you are not a client and ask us to delete your messages, we delete them (see section 13).

10. How we protect it

Access is limited to the people at AQ who need it, each with their own sign-in; our WhatsApp conversations are visible only to our owner. Connections are encrypted (HTTPS), our database cannot be reached from the internet, and our backups are encrypted. If a breach ever affected your information, we would tell you promptly.

11. Help from software

We use software, including an AI assistant, to help read and file documents and to draft replies. A person reviews and approves every message we send you. No decision that affects you legally is made automatically.

12. Your choices and rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you; ask us to correct it; ask us to delete it (section 13); stop our WhatsApp updates at any time — reply “STOP” or tell us, and we stop; and object to any use you disagree with.

Write to info@theaqbuilders.com or tell us on WhatsApp. We answer within 30 days, and we may ask you to confirm who you are first.

13. How to have your information deleted

Email info@theaqbuilders.com, or send us a WhatsApp message from the number you used with us, saying “Delete my data”. We will confirm who you are, delete your information — including your WhatsApp messages — within 30 days, and tell you when it is done.

We keep only what the law requires us to keep (for example accounts and tax records, and signed agreements for a house we are building or have built), and we tell you what we kept and why.

14. Children

Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information about children.

15. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we update this page and its effective date. If a change matters to you, we will tell you before it takes effect.
